DIGITAL DATA

Digital Data is the bedrock of The Digital Personal Data Protection Act,2023 (“The Act”).

In terms of Section 2(n) of the Act, digital personal data” means personal data in digital form.

Any offline personal data if converted into digital data at any given point of time, unless exempted, shall be under its purview.

The Digital Data can be in digital or in online mode as is evident from Section 2(m) of the Act.
